Brings back memories..  Certainly the punched cards and PL/C at UofT..

He mentions several people from the Toronto area in his talk.  Ron Baecker,
Dave Tilbrook and others..

I met Ron several times at HCR (Human Computing Resources) on St Mary St
in the early eighties.  The company I was working for was looking to use
them to port unix to one of their products (a National Semi 32016 board).
They had a unix source license..  Some of the people from HCR went on to
Sietec (Siemens Nixdorf) later.  Tracy Tims, Dave Tilbrook..

I looked up Ron to see what he's been up to..
