You may want to keep it, and turn it into "softphone".  Of course, you 
need voip account to connect to.

I just ported my home phone from Teksavvy to VoIP.ms, a week ago.  I had 
it for long time and still want to keep it.  I went from $10/month to 
$0.85/month (and 0.9cent/min).  Breakeven point is 16hour talk in a 
month.  It can even do SMS (0.75cent/SMS), but I haven't tried it, 
because I already get free text on my mobile plan.  I never thought I 
would be counting pennies in my telephone bill.

Also, it's new thing to learn...
